Carnelians 3

Czech glass reproduction Carnelian beads - documented as being produced in the early 1800's and widely used in West Africa, unfortunately often in the  slave trade.
Most of these original beads were personally purchased, directly from families living in former slave-trading villages on the river banks of The Gambia and Sénégal rivers.
