Antique Kiffa - Single Beads
Old Kiffa have become increasingly more difficult and very much more expensive
to find in undamaged condition ... we were so lucky to find really lovely beads, which were perfectly formed and fine examples ... consequently most have been sold.

The " Rebirth "
Production of antique Kiffa ceased for a time in the early 1980s. These beads show early attempts at recommencing production later in the decade, led by the ladies of the Co-operative Nasser in Kiffa, with the use of more modern coloured glass and new designs, some of which are still being produced today.

From the early 2000ís Modern Kiffa production began to be a little more refined - this bead has been carefully made and is a good representation of the earliest designs.
